Thomas William Charron, 69, of Lincoln, IL, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016.
A graveside service will be Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 10:30 am at Irish Grove
Cemetery, Middletown, IL . with Masonic services by Lincoln Masonic Lodge #210 A.F.
& A.M. and Millitary Honors by the Lincoln American Legion to follow. In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Tanzyus Logan is in
charge of arrangements.
Thomas was born in March of 1947 in Lincoln, IL, the son of Paul William Voyles and
Dorothy Marie Charron. He married Linda Ward in Decatur on January 8, 1977. She
Thomas served in the Navy as Chief Petty Officer from 1964 until retirement in 1994.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist University, Plainview, TX, and
his master’s degree from Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, AZ. He was a
plumber/pipe fitter and counselor at Gateway Crisis Center, Brunswick, GA. Thomas had
attained the 32nd degree Mason, a member of Lincoln Masonic Lodge #210 A.F. &A.M.
and was a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Springfield, IL.
He is survived by his wife Linda, daughter, Cameron Kathleen Gill of Lincoln, IL; brother
Arnold Charron of Lincoln, IL; sisters Janet Woody of Missouri and Elsie Mae Mielhm of
Lincoln, IL. He was preceded by parents, brothers Wayne and Vern Charron, and sister
