Marie LaVerne Camp, 90, of Decatur, went to be with the Lord, 4:05AM Thursday,  
October 6, 2016, at McKinley Court Nursing Home.

Funeral Services will be 10:30AM Friday October 14, 2016 at Summit Avenue Baptist
Church , 1715 North Summit Avenue, Decatur, Il., with Pastor Dave Brown
Officiating.  Visitation will be 1 hour before services in the Church.  Burial will follow
in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Ramsey, Illinois.  Memorial contributions would be
appreciated to Summit Avenue Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.  
Tanzyus Logan Funeral Services is in charge of the arrangements.

Marie was born in October of 1925 in Haggarstown, Illinois.  She was the daughter of
Nathan and Elizabeth Roberts.  Marie was a homemaker and a charter member of
Summit Avenue Baptist Church.  She married George W. Camp in July of 1943 in
Paris, Illinois and he preceded her in death on June 8, 1992.

Marie is survived by her sons Jimmy Camp and wife Carol of Sun City Center, Fl., and
Gary Camp and wife Ruth Ann of Decatur; Brothers and sisters Ralph Roberts and wife
Faye, Elizabeth Wright, Loretta Sullivan and husband Robert all of Decatur, William
Roberts and wife Sharlotta of Paducah, Ky, Shirley Neece and husband Jim, and
Marvin Roberts and wife Marilyn all of Decatur; 10-grandchildren, 13-great
grandchildren and 3-great great grandchildren.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, son William Camp ,
daughter Doris Adams, an infant daughter, and a granddaughter Sherry, and a brother
Nathan Roberts, Jr.
