Anita “Ann” Hale-Kahn, 88 of Decatur died at 6:20 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2016 in Heritage Manor Health Care
Center, Mt. Zion, IL.
Funeral service celebrating her life will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 14, 2016 in Trinity Lutheran Church (1960
East Johns Decatur, IL.) with Pastor Melvin Weseloh officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service time at
the church. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes
Foundation. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.
Ann was born in Charlotte Township, IL., in May of 1928 the daughter of Francis C. and Maude N. Wallrich. She
worked for Sears as a decorator for many years. She was a member of Allstates. Ann married Jap Hale on July 1946
and he preceded her in death in May of 1985. She later married Orville Kahn in 1988 and he died in 2006.
Surviving are her daughter, Connie Sue (Mike) Kleiss of Bethany, John F. (Charlotte) Hale of Ohio, Clark Hale of
Florida, step-children, Bryan (Jacque) Kahn, Jay (Bobbie) Kahn, Susan Danco, Jill Reed, grandchildren, Jay M.
Kleiss, Heidi A. (Shane) Beck, Ryan (Crystal) Hale, John W. Weatherholt, T.J. Hale, six great grandchildren, seven
step-grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, foster parents, step-mother and two brothers.
