Judith Ann McMillan
1943 - 2016

MCMILLAN

Judith A. McMillan, 72, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016, in her residence.

Judy was born in October of 1943, the daughter of Orville Wayne Mansfield and Dorothy Irene.  She grew up
around the Rowe Township, Moultrie County, Illinois, and was a waitress at the Atwood Café during her teenage
years.

She worked in various manufacturing facilities - General Electric, H&S Tool & Die and,  lastly, Caterpillar, Inc,
where she met her husband, James E. McMillan.  Together they formed J & J Liquor Inc, and purchased Northgate
Liquor/Viking Lounge, a well known tavern  and package liquor business, which they successfully ran it for over
fourteen  years.  There was never a stranger that walked through the Vikings door and Judy was loved by many.
She cherished the memories and the fellowship that were formed in those years.  Friends became family and many
were still in contact with her years later, which she truly appreciated.

Upon retirement, she spent the latter part of her years enjoying life in general with family and friends.  She was an
avid dog lover and her love for her “fur-babies” was evident and as one pet would pass, her heart would open for
another.  Judy believed in the “Rainbow Bridge” and knew each of her fur-babies would be waiting for her which
gave her much peace.

She is survived by her sister, Vickey (Richard) Goodbrake,  son,  Kevin (Diana) Parks, Daughter, Penny (Terry)
Ruthrauff; four Grandchildren, Brandon Nein, Joshua Hollingsead, Kelli Scales, Brittany McKnight; four Great
Grandchildren;  two Nieces (special Niece, Susan (Tim) Walker) and three Nephews.

There will be no funeral nor visitation.  It is Judy’s request that anyone who knew her simply smile as they recall a
memory and go about and enjoy their day.  She would appreciate a donation be made to Homeward Bound Pet
Shelter, Decatur, Illinois.

The family would like to thank Judy’s devoted friends, Patty Bagley and Lynnie Burns, for their love and friendship
with their mother, throughout the years.

She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal parents, step parents, one brother, one sister, one husband
and one infant son.
