Elizabeth “Peggy” I. Beeson, 94, of Decatur, died September 4, 2015 at 5:19 PM at her Primrose residence.
A time of visitation with family and friends will be Monday morning, September 7th at the Primrose Retirement Center, 1145 Arbor Drive, Decatur from
10am to 11 am. A Graveside service celebrating Peggy’s life will follow in the afternoon at Masonic Cemetery, Moweaqua, Illinois, beginning at 1pm. Pastor
Ryan Baker will officiate. Memorials in her honor requested to the American Heart Association. Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of

Peggy was born in March of 1921 in Oblong, Illinois, the daughter of William and Leona Eubank Jones. She married Walter Leslie Beeson in January of 1939.
He died in 2007. She was a member of Moweaqua Christian Church.
Peggy’s surviving relatives include children Larry Beeson (Anne) of Fairfax, VA, Pat Warnick of Forsyth, and Barbara Dill (Terry) of San Anselmo, CA. She
leaves eight grandchildren, Terri, Tim, Todd, Tammy, Tania, Debbie, Donny and Katrina, as well as fourteen great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-
grandchildren; and brother Donald Jones.
Peggy was preceded by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters: Mae, Roy, Everett, Mildred, Marvin, Eva and Ronald, one grandchild Mike and son-in-law
Peggy loved the Lord above all, and then her family. She enjoyed playing bridge, sewing and making doll clothes.
Her family wishes to thank the Primrose Staff for their loving care over the past several years. They loved Peggy as if she were family.
