James E. Wallis, 64 of Decatur died at 12:50 p.m. Sunday Feb. 8, 2015 in Decatur Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
Funeral service to celebrate Jim’s life will be 10:00 a.m. Friday Feb. 13, 2015 at Heartland Community Church (3253 N. Brush College Road) with Rev. Dan
Spruell and Pastor Joe Bowman officiating. Visitation will be Thursday Feb. 12th from 6 to 8 p.m. also at the church. Private burial will be in Point Pleasant

Jim was born in October of 1950 in Decatur the son of Alonzo and Naomi Wallis. He was a very good mechanic and loved working on cars. He also loved
spending time with his family and friends. Jim married Cheryl Blankenship in July of 1969.
Surviving are his wife: Cheryl Wallis; mother: Naomi Wallis of Shelbyville; sons: Daniel Wallis of Shelbyville, Shawn Wallis and partner Larry Borowski of
Decatur; daughter: Frances King and husband John of Dalton City; grandchildren: Tyler King, Amber Stoots and Steven Stoots of Dalton City, Alex Wallis and
Kodi Wallis of Pana, Koltin Steiert of Clarksville, TN.; siblings: Donald Wallis of Shelbyville, Betty Dettore and husband Tom of Decatur, William Wallis of
Shelbyville; special friends: J.J. Gregg, John Lohse, Jimmy Scharnett, Delbert Conder, special brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Norma Blankenship, many
other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his father Alonzo Wallis.
