David Andrew Hart Sr., 76 of Decatur died January 12, 2015.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church 1:00 p.m. Saturday February 7, 2015 with Father John Burnett celebrant.  Burial will
be at a later date.  Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and care is assisting the family with the arrangements.

The family will gather at Old King’s Orchard (815 N. Church) to celebrate David’s life following the service.

David was born in November of 1938 in Decatur, IL., to William F. and Lois D. Hart Sr. During his Boy Scout years he acquired his nickname “Spider”. His work
career started at an early age in his family’s grocery store. He had many business ventures while becoming a cement finisher, truck driver and pipe fitter with
Local #65 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters. David was a proud member of Eagles Aerie #507, Moose Lodge #684 and Prairie Land Abate. He was a NASCAR fan,
reader of “Wheels and Dads”, listener to “Swap Shop”, collector of many treasures, and a great problem solver. He enjoyed time with family and friends.

To cherish these memories are Beatrice Ann Hall, sons; David Jr., Doug of Decatur, Scott Strater of Moweaqua, IL., Don (Margaret) Gollahon of Kentucky,
brothers; Herbert Sr., and Michael Sr. of Decatur, Robert Sr. (Marilyn) of Illiopolis, sisters; Patricia Brackett of Decatur, Debbie (Glen) Webster of Moweaqua,
sister-in-law; Patsy Hart of Decatur, brothers-in-law; Wylie (Pat) Fox of Dixon, IL., and Ralph (Clarese) Fox of Shelbyville,IL., 14 grandchildren, 11 great
grandchildren, 26 nieces and nephews, 38 great nieces and nephews, 21 great-great nieces and nephews, and 1 great-great-great nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; William Hart Jr., and Terry, infant sister; Beverly, sister; Mary Ann, nephew; Herb Jr., niece; Andrea Fox,
sister-in-law; Audrey, brother-in-law; Ed Brackett and 2 great grandchildren.  

Services to celebrate David’s life will be held at a later date.

Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.
