Ruth Maxine Williams, 83 of Decatur died at 6:04 p.m. Friday January 2, 2015 in Heritage Manor Mt. Zion, IL.
Funeral service celebrating Ruth’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday January 6, 2015 in the Life Builder’s Church (833 W. Pershing Decatur, IL. 62526)
with Pastor Tim Luisatana officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow at North Fork Cemetery. Memorials may
be made to the church. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements.
Ruth was born in December of 1931 in Decatur the daughter of John C.W. and Rita M. Traughber. She attended school at Decatur High School. She worked
in the nursing field at Jess Parrish Hospital in Titusville, Florida. Ruth married Bobbie Williams in June of 1949. He preceded her in death in 1985.
Surviving are her children; Karen (Chuck) Towe of OKC, OK., John Williams, Tina (Ray) Cormier of Florida, David Williams, several grandchildren, sisters;
Betty E. Bowman, Doris Jean Traughber (Dale L.) McClure, of Decatur, Helen Lorene (William) Ponting, of Blue Mound, sister-in-law; Lois Traughber, of
Decatur, brother; Dale Eugene (Kelly) Traughber, of Evening Shade, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother John Wm. Traughber.
Ruth was a great mother, grandmother and sister and she will be deeply missed.
